Soubhagya Patel (15) a younger sister of Sankri village under Jharbandh block of Bargarh district is suffering from Ewing's sarcoma a type of Bone Cancer.She is currently studying in Class 10 at Amthi High School
Presently she is admitted in BALCO Medical Centre,Raipur. Now their economic backbone has been shaken.
A few days back, I came to know about him from a parent from Tumripani village, who was undergoing treatment at govt hospital in Cuttack for almost a month.
Her mother said that the medical students were studying/experimenting with her instead of advising her to go to the cancer hospital even after being diagnosed with cancer. When I came to know about that, I contacted some cancer hospitals empanelled under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, and then I came to know that arrangements can be made in BALCO Raipur.The sister had to be shifted to Raipur BALCO Hospital for immediate treatment.As you can imagine, he didn't even have money to buy a train ticket or register at the hospital, which I personally paid for
